Daily Expedition Program- Epirus

Day 1 - July 8
We meet at Metsovo. We spend the night at the refuge in Flega. The sunset view is spectacular as the sun sets in the artificial lake of Aoos River.
Day 2 - July 9
After breakfast we pack and prepare for the long trekking of the National Park of Valia Kalda. Our first target is …the top, Flega and the beautiful lakes around it. We continue on this path until Arkoudorema and then follow the river. We will stop and dive in the waterfall and the natural pools created in the river. After our picnic by the river we trek until we get to village Vovousa. This friendly, traditional village will be our host for the night. We sleep in an organized refuge after a long and arduous day.
Day 3- July 10
After a sumptuous breakfast we ride in luxury, in buses, which will take us to Tsepelovo Village.
After a light lunch we take an easy path to the Gorge of “Little Vikos; Vikaki”and we cross the gorge. We trek and swim, criss-crossing the gorge as required. We reach the end of the gorge and the village of Kipoi where we will spend the night in a traditional guesthouse.
Day 4 - July 11
Today is the day of Vikos Gorge, maybe one of the best known trekking activities in Greece. We begin in Monodendri and reach after 5-6 hours of trekking Village Vikos. After our light lunch at the Village square, in the afternoon we walk to the Trekking base, next to Voidomatis River, where we will set camp for the night. Right next to our camp is a great taverna for a special, river view dinner of trout!
Day 5 - July 12
Today we are going to get wet! Voidomatis river will be our host, but the level of the water during this season is relatively low, just enough for us to accomplish our rafting.  Lunch at a taverna and then it is time to ride our horses and enjoy the beautiful landscape next to the river.
Day 6 - July 13
An early start as we ascend to Small Papigo village from where we follow the path to the refuge of Astraka and then on to Drakolimni! A demanding day which is well rewarded by the famous fasolada – bean soup and sleeping in the refuge.
Day 7 - July 14
Today we will reach the highest top of Tymphi Mountain. The top is called Gamila – the Camel, at an altitude of 2497m. Our descent takes us downhill to Small Papigo village where we will spend the night at a guesthouse.
Day 8 - July 15
Change of scenery! Our bus will take us for 3h drive in order to transport us to the beach of Syvota. We spend the whole day getting acquainted with our sea kayaks; we lead trial expeditions in the friendly water of the Ionian Sea. Tonight we sleep at Syvota after a relaxing walk at the cosmopolitan port of the village for coffee and dinner.
Day 9 - July 16
Today we explore with our sea kayaks tiny beaches and hidden treasures in the nearby islands. Our kayaks may take us to places reached only by sea, remote nooks and crannies such as The Pool, the Bella Vraka etc. We return late in the afternoon for a rest and our final packing
